RNA - An investigative journalist believes the United States is just aggravating the crisis in Yemen, which is already reeling from a military aggression by Saudi Arabia.

“This is just adding salt to injury that we are now getting US airstrikes here. Also the conflict in Yemen is quite complicated. It is not one side or the other side. There are three sides,” Tony Gosling told Press TV in an interview on Saturday.

He also noted what the United States is doing in Yemen is “totally illegitimate,” adding that it is an unofficial declaration of war.

The analyst further highlighted the fact that the West is backing former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who is not supported by the Yemeni people.

Gosling also maintained that the poor Yemeni people are finding it very difficult to fight back against this Western-backed assault by Saudi Arabia.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Gosling stated that the UK's Royal Air Force (RAF) has got many personnel in the Saudi air force providing targeting information but civilians are still falling victim to the air raids.

Therefore, he said, if they are not helping to save the civilians in this conflict, then those RAF personnel should be pulled out of Saudi Arabia immediately.

According to the analyst, the Saudis are effectively acting as a “proxy” for the United States in Yemen in an attempt to break up any kind of state which opposes Western rule in the Middle East.
