RNA - "We don’t have any problem with the Arabs, but the problem lies with the arrogant rulers who are servants of Israel," Rezayee wrote on his twitter page on Saturday.
"People in Saudi Arabia and the UAE are thirsty for democracy," he added.
In relevant remarks last year, a prominent analyst urged Sunni Arab leaders to initiate diplomatic negotiations with Iran in order to resolve all outstanding issues in the region.
Writing for the Arabic language daily al-Rai al-Youm, Abdulbari al-Atwan told the Arab rulers, “Forget about the United States. They stabbed you in the back (by negotiating with Iran over its nuclear program.) You must rely on yourselves for survival. You must build your own weapons.”
He went on to argue that this is an “advice” for Riyadh to open up its door for negotiation with Tehran in order to resolve their differences.
“What the Persian Gulf Arab rulers can’t understand is that America’s foreign policy is always based on protecting its own interests," Atwan said.
