RNA - The terrorists were pushed back from their strongholds near Palmyra city in Homs province.
Scores of terrorists were killed and wounded in tough battle with the Syrian government forces.
The Syrian army and popular forces also continued their military gains in other key provinces across Syria.
Homs
The Syrian Army troops warded off another attack of ISIL in Eastern Homs and then in a rapid counterattack managed to drive terrorists out of more positions West of ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur).
The army soldiers deployed in the farms near the villages of Tarfeh al-Qarbi and Tarfeh al-Sharqi engaged in heavy fighting with ISIL that had attacked them from its positions in the Western parts of al-Bayarat region and al-Moqsem region.
Field sources said that the army men engaged in clashes with ISIL for hours and managed to fend off their attack, killing and wounding at least 58 terrorists.
The sources added that the army units carried out rapid counterattack on ISIL in then farms East of Tarfeh al-Sharqi and managed to reach the entrances of al-Moqsem and could advance deep into ISIL's positions in the Eastern part of the region.
Earlier reports said that the army soldiers struck ISIL's defense lines along the strategic mount of al-Hayal and pushed terrorists back from more positions in the Western slopes of al-Hayal South of al-Bayarat region.
ISIL left behind a large number of dead members and pulled back the remaining pockets of its forces towards East.
A military source said that the army units could take also control over Abraj al-Tayran (Flight Towers) North of al-Bayarat region after hours of clashes with ISIL terrorists.
Earlier on Saturday, the Syrian Army men continued their advances against ISIL in Eastern Homs and managed to recapture more territories West of Palmyra.

Aleppo
The Syrian Army soldiers, backed up by the country's fighter jets, stormed the positions of Al-Nusra Front (recently renamed to Fatah al-Sham Front) in the Western countryside of Aleppo city, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.
The army troops deployed in Jam'iyat al-Zahra neighborhood in the Western part of Aleppo city attacked Al-Nusra Front's defense lines and managed to take back several buildings near Rasoul Azam grand mosque in the Western countryside of Aleppo.
Field sources confirmed that the army aircraft bombed Al-Nusra's centers in al-Bahouth al-Elmiyeh region West of Aleppo city simultaneous with the ground troops' advances, killing at least 21 terrorists and wounding tens of others.
Sources close to the dissidents reported on Friday that the Syrian air force pounded militants' positions and gathering centers in Western Aleppo, killing at least 31 terrorists.
According to the pro-militant Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the militants were killed during airstrikes on their bases in the Western parts of Aleppo.
The report came after news websites close to the terrorists reported that tens of the members of the newly-formed Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board) and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) militants were killed in the Syrian air force's attacks on al-Bohouth al-Ilmiyah building in the Western parts of Aleppo city.
Meantime, the Syrian army's artillery units targeted the terrorists' centers and moves in al-Rashedeen 4 and 5 regions in Southwestern countryside of Aleppo, inflicting losses and damages on the militants.
Sweida
The Syrian Army targeted the movements of ISIL in Northeastern Sweida, destroying a long convoy of their military vehicles and a large fuel tanker.
Several vehicles of ISIL terrorists, including a fuel tanker, were destroyed in a heavy attack of army soldiers on the terrorists' convoy in Northeastern Sweida.
According to army reports, the ISIL has lost a number of forces in the attack on its convoy.
The report further added that the army men also hit the main center of ISIL terrorists in Tal Ashhib al-Janoubi, killing the entire terrorists in the position.
Deir Ezzur
The Syrian Army engaged in fierce clashes with the ISIL terrorists in Deir Ezzur's cemetery in the Southern outskirts of the city and managed to capture one more key hill as it moves to lift the siege on the city's military airport.
The army units, backed by the country's fighter jets, could beat ISIL back from the strategic hill of Sho'ayb in al-Maqaber (cemetery) region, inflicting tens of casualties on the terrorists.
A field source said that army's control over Sho'ayb hill was a great move towards ending the ISIL's siege on Deir Ezzur's airbase and connecting it to residential areas with over 1,300 families in the Eastern part of the city.
Other sources confirmed that simultaneous with the army's advances in al-Maqaber, missile and artillery units of the army and meantime the Russian and Syrian fighter jets targeted ISIL's positions near al-Maqaber, al-Ma'amel, al-Thardah mountain, Jonayd division and Tamin Brigade in the Southern outskirts of Deir Ezzur, leaving a number of terrorists dead and their military equipment destroyed.
Also, the army soldiers engaged in heavy fighting with ISIL in Deir Ezzur's cemetery in the Southern outskirts of the city and won back Height 23 that overlooks the regions of Sakhra Makbat al-Kanasa and al-Thardah valley South of the cemetery on Thursday.
A field source reported heavy casualties of ISIL terrorists near the Height 23, adding that the army men are fortifying their positions around the newly-liberated region.
Dara'a
The Syrian Army troops fended off anther heavy attack of Al-Nusra Front (recently renamed to Fatah al-Sham Front) in al-Manshiyeh neighborhood, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.
The army men warded off another massive attack of Al-Nusra Front on their positions in al-Manshiyeh neighborhood in Dara'a al-Balad district, destroying several bomb-laden vehicles of the militants and killing a number of them, including Commander of Aknaf al-Omari Battalion Mohammad Ahmad Asfour.
