RNA - It said the Israeli army detained six Palestinians from Hebron district, three from Tubas, two from Ramallah, two from Nablus and one each from Tulkarm and Qalqilia, WAFA reported.
The arrests came hours after spokesman for the Palestinian Authority condemned on Wednesday Israel’s new settlement activities in the occupied West Bank, which he said defy United Nations resolutions and international law.
“We have started urgent consultations in order to take the necessary measures to confront the settlement activities,” Abu Rudeineh said in a statement.
“We call on the US administration to rein this Israeli government’s policy which is going to destroy the peace process,” he said.
Israel announced on Tuesday plans to build 3000 new housing units in West Bank settlements.
