RNA - Forces stormed the camp in the predawn hours, amid heavy firing of live and rubber-coated steel bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas canisters toward Palestinian residents’ homes, leading to clashes among them, WAFA reported.

Sources said 16-year-old Mohammad Abu Khalifa was shot dead with a live bullet and was left on the ground for hours before paramedics were able to evacuate his body. The bullet entered the boy’s lower back and went through his body, emerging from his abdomen.

Five other youths were shot and injured during the clashes, including one seriously.

The clashes in Jenin’s refugee camp took place as a one-day general strike was announced by Fatah faction in mourning of Abu Khalifa.

Also on Sunday, Israeli forces targeted with gunfire homes and agricultural lands belonging to Palestinian civilians East of the Gaza Strip, according to local sources.

WAFA correspondent said that Israeli soldiers, who were stationed at military towers on Gaza-Israel border, opened fire at homes and lands near al-Shujaiya neighborhood, East of Gaza city, causing financial damages.

Israeli forces open fire at homes and lands on daily basis in the North and East of the Gaza Strip.
