RNA - The ISIL terrorists' attacks to capture the government forces' positions in the Southern parts of al-Jaboul lake were fended off by the strong defense of the Syrian military men.
Meantime, the Syrian army and popular forces continued their military advances in other parts of Syria, including Idlib and Homs, over the past 24 hours.
Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in Syria's key provinces.
Aleppo
Tens of ISIL militants attacked the Syrian army positions from the Southern parts of al-Jaboul lake in Southeastern Aleppo but their offensive was repulsed after heavy clashes and casualties.
The terrorists attacked the Syrian army positions in the recently-purged heights of Khanasser with the hope of reoccupying the heights again but their offensive was warded off by the army units and their allies.
Nearly 20 ISIL terrorists were killed and wounded during the clashes and several of their military vehicles were smashed.
The Syrian army troops have cleansed 15sq/km of the Eastern parts of Khanasser town which includes a number of heights and villages in line with operations to establish security on the strategic Aleppo-Khanasser-Ithriya road.
Idlib
Intense infighting continues among the terrorist groups in Syria with al-Nusra Front (Fatah al-Sham Front) launching heavy attacks on Idlib's Central Jail in the Western parts of the city.
The al-Nusra Front has intensified its attacks against other militants and is now attempting to take control of Hayyan town in Northern Aleppo by surrounding Faylaq al-Sham and Jabha al-Shamiya terrorists' positions in the region.
Meantime, a field commander of al-Nusra Front, namely Taha al-Khatib, along with 5 members of the terrorist group were killed in clashes with Soqour al-Sham militants in Jabal al-Zawiya region in Southern Idlib.
After clashes intensified between the al-Nusra Front and other militants, the terrorist groups of Soqour al-Sham, Jeish al-Islam (in Idlib), Jeish al-Mujahedeen, Istaqam Kama Amart and al-Jabha al-Shamiya (in Western Aleppo) declared unity with Ahrar al-Sham terrorist group.
Damascus
The Syrian troops and popular forces continued military operations against the terrorist groups in Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and retook control of another region from al-Nusra Front.
The army units and their allies attacked the terrorists' positions in the town of al-Qassemiya after militants violated the ceasefire in Eastern Ghouta, and regained control of the town in al-Marj region and its adjacent farms.
The Syrian soldiers started purging and demining operations immediately after recapturing the area.
Meantime, the Syrian army forces targeted the terrorists' gathering centers and moves on Khan al-Manqoura road in the Northeastern parts of Damascus which killed 10 militants and destroyed two of their military vehicles.
Other units of the army also targeted the terrorists' centers in Western and Eastern Tal al-Zaba'a, Jabal al-Lasafa, Hawaya Castle, al-Ramadan, al-Bareda, South of Sawana al-Samra, al-Mahsa road and al-Quaryatayn dam in Northeastern Damascus and South-West of Homs province, destroying the terrorists' military equipment.
Quneitra
The Syrian ground troops and their allies launched massive military operations against al-Nusra Front terrorists in Northern Quneitra, blowing up their camp and killing tens of militants.
The Syrian army units used missile and artillery fire to destroy one of al-Nusra Front's centers near Tal al-Hamariya in the Southern parts of Hader village in Northern Quneitra, killing all the militants inside and smashing their weapons and equipment.
The Syrian soldiers also clashed with the al-Nusra terrorists who had attacked an army position in al-Maqrousa and Ain Harfa regions, warding off the offensive and killing and wounding several militants.
A number of military equipment and weapons belonging to the terrorists were also destroyed in the clashes.
Homs
The Syrian army, supported by fighter jets, continued operations in Eastern Homs after establishing security at T4 airbase, and inflicted heavy loss and damage on the ISIL terrorists.
The Syrian army units continued military operations towards the al-Quaryatayn road and the Eastern parts of the two regions of Taloul al-Tayas and the Fourth Station, killing and wounding several ISIL terrorists.
Meantime, the Syrian fighter jets launched heavy airstrikes on ISIL gathering centers and moves in the region.
The Syrian air force also targeted the ISIL positions in Tadmur (Palmyra) and the desert in the Western parts of the city, al-Sukhnah town and Marhatan, Abu Tawalah, Masa'da and Mozin al-Baqar in the Eastern and Southeastern parts of Homs which completely destroyed them and killed a number of ISIL militants, including their foreign and Arab members.
The Syrian fighter jets also pounded an ISIL convoy on the road linking Tadmur and al-Sukhna in Eastern Homs which smashed it completely, killing and wounding all terrorists in the convoy.
Meantime, a Syrian helicopter attacked a number of ISIL military vehicles on Tadmur-Khan al-Manqoura road in the Western Desert of Tadmur which blew up the vehicles and killed 10 terrorists.
Deir Ezzur
The Russian and Syrian fighter jets continued joint operations against the ISIL terrorists and killed and wounded dozens of militants by targeting their gathering centers in Deir Ezzur.
The Syrian air force bombed the ISIL positions in Deir Ezzur which destroyed the terrorist group's al-Rakaz base near Kaziya Sukr in Salehiya Hatla region, inflicting 15 losses on the militants inside.
Also, the Syrian airplanes launched repeated attacks against the ISIL bases and moves at Setta Illa Rob street and near al-Tamwin square as well as al-Konamat, al-Maqaber and Jabal al-Tharda districts and al-Baliqiya, Marat and Khasham villages near Deir Ezzur city which killed tens of militants and blew up several military vehicles.
Meantime, the Russian and Syrian fighter jets targeted the ISIL centers in al-Roshdiya and al-Hawiqa districts of Deir Ezzur and the regions near al-Maqaber and Sariya Jonayd in the Southern parts of the city and inflicted heavy damage and losses on the ISIL terrorists.
