RNA - A massive crowd of anti-Trump protesters gathered outside the National Press Club, which was holding an event organized by Trump supporters, Daily Mail reported.
Hundreds of demonstrators were on the street outside the press club, many chanting and holding signs.
Chanting “We refuse a fascist America” and calling both Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence “illegitimate,” protesters took over the K Street corridor just blocks away from the White House.
One the protesters cried: “Hey, why are you here?” Protester: “Why am I here? I’m here because I just can’t; you know, they go through so many extraordinary measures to make sure... people’s rights to healthcare aren’t accessed,... so I need to be here and fight against that rhetoric and to fight against that mindset. You know, all women...we can’t live in a free society where more than half of women are being oppressed by this system.”
Other chanting slogans among the protesters were: “We will not accommodate. We will not conciliate. We will not collaborate. We will not collaborate. We will rise up.”
Videos shot by people in the protest showed the anti-Trump crowd confronted and was confronted by pro-Donald fans.
Riot squad police manned the area, and they hit the sea of people with 'chemical spray' as those who were leaving the event were having trash thrown at them, according to the US media.
