RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad-Ali al-Tal, a Bahraini opposition cleric, condemned the recent execution of three young men by Bahrain’s Al Khalifah regime and said, “Undoubtedly, these executions marked the beginning of a new wave of repression against the people of Bahrain”
His Eminence said that from 2011 until now, the Al Khalifah have employed various measures to combat the Bahrain people’s revolution and these executions can be considered the last of the crimes of the Al Khalifah family.
He said that this regime has engaged in the destruction of mosques, the desecration of the honour of Bahrain, the theft of property and the torture of youths in prisons and these are only a small part of the crimes of the Al Khalifah regime
“All these measures failed the Al Khalifah and for this reason, the Manama regime has engaged in the murder of Bahraini citizens with legal cover. However, the execution of the three young Bahrainis is not consistent with any legal standard in the world,” he explained.
Sami Mushayma’, Abbas Jamil Tahir al-Sami’ and Ali Abdul-Shahid al-Sinkis are accused of killing a member of the Emirati forces who had been assisting Manama in its suppression of Bahraini protesters, in the northern village of al-Dayh in March 2014.
Hujjat al-Islam al-Tal said that the executions of the three Bahraini youths at the same time as the siege of Diraz and the detainment of Shaykh Isa Qasim has a meaning and added that the role of the United Arabic Emirates in Bahrain cannot be ignored.
“Today the West seeks to replace Saudi Arabia with the UAE as its ally in the region and due to its interests in Bahrain, the UAE seeks to provoke the ruling family,” he explained.
He added that credible news received suggests that these executions have taken place under the supervision of the Emiratis and noted that the West sees the UAE as the gendarmes of the Persian Gulf. Therefore, due to the recent problems faced by the Al Saud in the region, the UAE is trying to expand its role in Bahrain and other Arab countries.
Hujjat al-Islam al-Tal said that one source, one of the Emirati shaykhs who witnessed the execution of the youths, said that the Emirati officer who was allegedly killed by these three young men opened fire on them.
The Bahraini cleric added that it should also be noted that the Al Khalifah regime seeks ratification for its actions by countries such as the UAE in order to gain their support and the solidarity of the international and regional powers so that lobbies, political circles and the media defend the reputation of the Al Khalifah regime and introduce this regime as a democratic government.
