RNA - Al-Nusra terrorists had late last month contaminated the drinking water reservoirs in Damascus province.
Damascus Governor General said on Wednesday that government and militants in Wadi al-Bardi region reached an agreement that will pave the ground for fixing facilities to restart flow of drinking water to the capital city.
Elsewhere, al-Aboud referred to Turkey's U-turn in policies on the crisis in Syria and cooperation with Russia in holding the Astana talks, and said, "Recep Tayyip Erdogan has fully understood that the crisis is ending and his support for terrorism has backfired on his country and endangered its national security; therefore, he wants to become a part of the solution to the crisis in Syria."
On Sunday, a senior Syrian military expert pointed out that the Syrian army capture of Aleppo was the main root cause of Ankara's recent change of policies towards Moscow and Tehran, as the main allies of Syria in war on terrorism.
Kamal al-Jafa, a high-ranking supervisor in Aleppo Operations Room, underlined that the army's victories against terrorists in Aleppo has played a major role in pushing Turkey to adopt a new diplomacy and seek expansion of cooperation with Russia and Iran over the Syria crisis.
He further said that Aleppo's liberation and change in Turkey's regional diplomacy have caused new arrangement in the terrorist groups' front, and added, "Terrorists lost their combat spirit and decided to lay down arms when they found out that Turkey changed policy and could not be their backer any more."
