Aleppo

 

Syrian Army troops thwarted ISIL's plan to explode a bomb-laden suicide truck in Aleppo city in a preemptive attack, destroying the truck.

 

A group of ISIL terrorists had planned to dispatch a bomb-laden suicide truck to Aleppo city from Ithriya-Khanasser road, but the army men identified the truck and detonated it.

 

In the meantime, the terrorists deployed near the Ithriya-Khanasser road carried out several attacks to occupy villages in the region and insecure the road, but their attacks were repelled by the army soldiers.

 

Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian Army's engineering units that were carrying out demining operation in the Eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo city found a large volume of Saudi chemicals that were used by Jeish al-Fatah terrorists to make chemical weapons.

 

The engineering units seized a large volume of sulfur, chlorine and raw materials that are used in the plastic industries in a warehouse that was used by the terrorists in old Aleppo neighborhoods.

 

Jeish al-Fatah terrorist used these chemicals to build explosives to target residential areas in Aleppo.

 

Syrian Army aircraft also targeted ISIL's bases and gatherings South of the strategic town of al-Bab North-East of Aleppo province on Wednesday, killing and wounding a number of militants.

 

The warplanes and choppers carried out several rounds of joint combat flights over ISIL's concentration centers and positions South of al-Bab, leaving a number of terrorists dead and wounded.

 

A military source also said that the Syrian government forces are to start a large-scale operation to hit the ISIL in Eastern Aleppo in coming days.

 

Reports said almost 6,000 army soldiers have been deployed near the Kuweires airbase waiting for the Damascus order to start a large-scale operation against the ISIL in the two key regions of al-Bab and Deir Hafer in Aleppo.

 

Also on Wednesday, Syrian Army troops and their popular allies stormed the positions of Jeish al-Fatah - a coalition of a dozen terrorist groups mainly from Al-Nusra Front - in Southern Aleppo after terrorists breached the recently-brokered ceasefire.

 

The pro-government forces, deployed in the towns of al-Hadhar and al-Howeiz, started their attacks of Jeish al-Fatah's positions near the key town of Khan Touman from several directions.

 

The army aircraft carried out several combat sorties over Jeish al-Fatah's gatherings in the towns and villages of Albu'eize, al-Ziyarh, Khan Touman, Khalseh and Sater al-Sabeqiyeh, inflicting major casualties on the militants.

 

Syrian soldiers, the Lebanese Hezbollah fighters and the Iraqi al-Nujaba Movements' combatants are about to carry out a joint operation on the Southern outskirts of Aleppo city to liberate the districts of Rashedeen 4 and 5 and then rush to Khan Touman to free the town.

 

In the meantime, hundreds of pro-government forces have been deployed in areas just to the South of Aleppo after their great victories against Jeish al-Fatah in November.

 

The army is resolved to purge the Southwestern territories of Aleppo of terrorists following its victories against militants in the Eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo and repelling two large-scale attacks of terrorists in the Western districts of Aleppo city.

 

Damascus

 

Syrian Army troops continued their advances against terrorists in Wadi al-Bardi region in Western Ghouta and took full control of a strategic road in the region.

 

The army soldiers purged the road connecting the village of Basimeh to Ein al-Fijeh village after hours of non-stop clashes.

 

The army men intensified their attacks on terrorist centers with the back up of the artillery and missile units and managed to drive militants out of their position along the Basimeh-Ein al-Fijeh road, cutting off terrorists' movement in these two villages.

 

Over 20 terrorists were killed or wounded in the attacks.

 

Also, in the past 24 hours, Syrian Army troops, Air Force and artillery units targeted the bases and movements of Fatah al-Sham Front (previously known as the al-Nusra Front) in different parts of Wadi al-Bardi region in Northwestern Damascus, inflicting major losses on the militants.

 

The army soldiers stormed Fatah al-Sham's defense lines in Ein al-Fijeh and Basimeh from the villages of Deir Moqren and Kafr al-Zeit.

 

In the meantime, army artillery and missile units pounded Nusra's positions and gatherings in Ein al-Fijeh, Basimeh and other villages in Wadi al-Bardi region.

 

The Syrian fighter jets also targeted Fatah al-Sham's concentration centers.

 

The army's Artillery units also shelled the bases of the terrorists in Harah al-Sabil in Ein al-Khazrwh, killing and wounding a number of militants.

 

The army's missile units targeted a base of the terrorists along a road to al-Naqab village near Basimeh, killing a number of militants.

 

Homs

 

Syrian Army troops and Air Force launched separate attacks on the bases and military convoys of ISIL and Fatah al-Sham Front in Eastern and Northern Homs, inflicting tens of casualties on the militants.

 

The army units targeted ISIL's positions East of the Fourth Station and al-Faware'ah region West of the city of Palmyra (Tadmur), killing 15 terrorists and destroying eight vehicles.

 

In the meantime, the army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL near the Fourth Station and the village of Sharifeh near T4 airbase, while artillery and missile units shelled ISIL's movements along the battlefronts and in the depth of ISIL-held areas in al-Shoumeriyeh mountain and Tadmur Badiyeh (desert).

 

A military source said that tens of ISIL members, including several notorious non-Syrian militants were killed and several convoys of their vehicles were damaged in the attacks.

 

The army aircraft targeted positions and movements of Fatah al-Sham in al-Taloul al-Hamr region and the towns of Deir Foul, Ezzeddeen and Aqayrabat in Northeastern Homs, destroying their bases and equipment.

 

A number of Nusra militants were also killed in the air raids.

 

Also on Wednesday, a member of al-Nusra Front poisoned over 20 of his comrades and killed 3 others by firing shots after infighting heightened among the terrorists, dissident sources disclosed on Wednesday.

 

News websites affiliated to the terrorist groups reported that the poisoned militants were members of al-Nusra's "religious patrol (which forces people to obey the terrorists' interpretation of religious rules)" in a region North of Homs province, adding that all of them have lost their lives.

 

The terrorist who embarked on poisoning and massacring 20 militants then went to Deir Foul village in Homs and opened fire on other members of al-Nusra Front, killing 3 militants, the reports said, adding that the assailing militant was also killed in pursuing clashes in the same incident.

 

Deir Ezzur

 

Syrian Army troops launched heavy attacks on ISIL's concentration centers and movements in different regions across the Eastern province of Deir Ezzur, killing a number of them and destroying their bases.

 

The army soldiers hit hard ISIL's bases and gatherings near Deir Ezzur Airbase, the villages of Jafrah, al-Hosseiniyeh, al-Baqaliyeh, Albu Omar, al-Abd, Huweiqa al-Mar'eiyeh and al-Thardah mountain, killing and wounding a number of militants and destroying their bases and equipment.

 

Other units of the army clashed with ISIL in al-Roshdiyeh neighborhood and Fo'ad Cinema street in Deir Ezzur city.

 

The army men also repelled ISIL suicide attack on government positions, killing several terrorists.

 

Raqqa

 

Sources affiliated to the opposition groups disclosed that ISIL has carried out a heavy attack on the positions of the predominately Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) West of Raqqa, recapturing a part of lost lands.

 

The sources said that the ISIL engaged in fierce clashes with the SDF and recaptured the village of Ja'abar and ancient Ja'abar citadel.

 

The sources further added that ISIL could also take back control of the town of Sweidiyeh al-Saqireh near Ja'abar from the Kurdish fighters.

 

Hama

 

Gatherings and movements of Fatah al-Sham Front in different regions in Hama province came under heavy attacks of the Syrian Army troops, Air Force and artillery.

 

The warplanes and artillery units targeted Fatah al-Sham's movements and concentration centers in the villages of Taloul al-Hamr, Eidoun, al-Satahiyat Southwest of the town of al-Salamiyah, leaving a number of militants dead and their equipment and vehicles destroyed.

 

The army soldiers in an ambush operation seized two vehicles of terrorists that were carrying ammunition in al-Hart region West of the village of al-Sa'an, killing two terrorists.

 

The army men seized a drone, munitions, RPG rockets and different arms loaded onto several trucks and vehicles.

 

Also, several members of Fatah al-Sham Front, including Saudi militants, were killed in Syrian air and artillery attacks in Eastern Hama on Tuesday.

 

The army aircraft and artillery units targeted the gatherings and movements of Fatah al-Sham in Taloul al-Hamar West of al-Salamiyah town near the provincial border with Homs province, leaving at least seven militants dead, including several Saudi nationals and destroying three vehicles.

 

Reports said, at least, 30 militants were also injured in the attacks.
