RNA – Allamah Rajah Nasir Abbas Jafari, secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, has accused former army chief General Rahil Sharif (retired) of putting prestige and honour of Pakistan at stake for the sake of Saudi riyals by accepting a job in Saudi-led anti-Muslim military alliance.

He said that Saudi monarchy always considered the US and Zionist regime of Israel as her friend.

He said that Saudi monarchy always sowed the seeds of disunity and hatred among Muslims by its intolerant ideology and proxies in the Muslim world. He said that Saudis have not made public the agenda of the said alliance in details but non-inclusion of some important Muslim countries in Saudi-led alliance was a proof that Saudis wanted to divide Muslims along sectarian lines.

“Had this Saudi-led alliance been made for defence of Muslims, it should have liberated Kashmir and Palestine but Saudi monarchy remain silent on the issues of Palestine and Kashmir,” he said, adding that Pakistan also voiced its support for Kashmiris and Palestinians.

Allamah Jafari further said that Pakistan’s foreign policy is aimed at playing mediating role in case of dispute between two Muslim countries but participation in the alliance was aimed at taking side of one party that was also tantamount to deviation from its principled neutral and balanced foreign policy.

“General Rahil Sharif (retired) knows of state and military secrets hence becoming a servant of any other country is not only against the rules but his loyalty for any other country put national security of Pakistan under threat also,” he said.

Allamah Jafari asked the Supreme Court to take suo motu notice of it because this move was an attempt to push Pakistan to a sectarian hatemongering alliance. He said that General Rahil Sharif himself should quit that alliance in order to save Pakistan from becoming a den of Daesh.
