RNA - "If we can be successful against ISIL and liberate our soil, we can go into Syria if our brothers there need help against ISIL," said Maliki, Anadolu reported.

The PMF is currently tasked with clearing from terrorists the city Tal Afar 40 miles West of Mosul.

The PMF is an Iraqi state-sponsored umbrella organization composed of 40 Shiite, Sunni, Christian, as well as Ezadi forces with reportedly up to 100,000 members.

The Iraqi army backed by its allies including the volunteer fighters have been leading a large offensive to retake Mosul since October 17.

The Northern city of Mosul fell to ISIL in 2014, when the terror outfit began its campaign of death and destruction in the Arab country.

Syrian government has also been engaged in war against several militant groups since 2011, with government forces loyal to President Bashar Assad fighting numerous foreign-backed militants, as well as terrorist groups.
