Iraqi Forces Liberate Al-Karama Neighborhood in Mosul from ISIL

 

The Iraqi forces managed on Monday to liberate Northern neighborhood of Al-Karama in Mosul from the ISIL terrorist group.

 

The military commander Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah announced in a statement that the counterterrorism forces regained control over Al-Karama neighborhood in Mosul, raising the national flag over the public buildings across the district, Al Manar reported.

 

The Iraqi forces has also inflicted heavy losses on ISIL terrorists in the cources of the military operation.

 

Iraqi Federal Police Kill Notorious ISIL Commander, Purges Terrorists from Key Road Near Mosul

 

Iraq's joint military forces managed to purge ISIL terrorists from a strategic road East of Mosul, killing a senior ISIL commander in fierce clashes.

 

"Ahmad Manati, ISIL's notorious commander, was killed in heavy battle with the Iraqi Federal Police over the control of the key Koukajli road in al-Entesar district to the East of Mosul city," Commander of Iraqi Federal Police Raed Shaker Judat said.

 

Several ISIL terrorists were killed and wounded in fierce clashes with the Iraqi Federal Police forces.

 

In a relevant development earlier on Monday, the Iraqi army forces bombed the ISIL strongholds in Northern Mosul in a bid to cut off the Tel Kef supply line.

 

Ameri: Fight against Terrorism Requires More Wisdom, Patience

 

Senior commander of Iraq's popular mobilization units (PMU) Hadi al-Ameri stressed that the fight against terrorism requires more wisdom and patience.

 

Al-Ameri said in a statement to reporters that the progress in the battle for Mosul is rapid in all fronts, but the size of the province’s and the presence of civilians make the determination of a timeframe for the liberation of Mosul a challenging job thing to do, Badr News reported.

 

Al-Ameri has stressed on the importance of regional coordination to fight terrorism, especially with Syria, which has suffered from terrorism and the need to benefit from global experiences such as the European Union’s experience to undermine the terrorists’ movements.

 

68 ISIL Terrorists Killed in Iraqi Army's Military Operations

 

Iraq's joint military forces continued their advances in different parts of Nineveh province, inflicting heavy losses on the ISIL, the country's defense ministry announced in a statement on Monday.

 

The Iraqi forces killed 38 terrorists Southeast of Nineveh province and destroyed several of their military vehicles.

 

Meantime, the Iraqi Hezbollah Battalions hit the ISIL's bomb-laden cars in the Western part of the city of Tal Afar, killing 30 terrorists and wounding many more.

 

A sum of five bomb-laden vehicles of the terrorists were also destroyed in Hezbollah Battalion's offensive.

 

Iraqi Forces Target ISIL Key Supply Line North Mosul

 

Iraqi Army forces bombed ISIL strongholds in Northern Mosul in a bid to cut off the Tel Kef supply line, military sources reported.

 

The Iraqi troops hit three ISIL checkpoints along the Tel Kef road in Northern Mosul city, using heavy artillery. The shelling led to the destruction of the ISIL security checkpoints and the death of several ISIL militants, ARA News reported.

 

The Tel Kef road is considered one of the main supply lines for the ISIL militants to support their operations against the Iraqi forces in Northern Mosul.
