Reports said earlier on Friday that the army soldiers also fended off ISIL's offensives on government forces' positions in the villages of Jubb al-Jarrah, al-Masoudiyeh, Maksar al-Hassan, Jabal al-Shoumeriyeh, Abu al-Alaya and Um al-Reish, killing and wounding a number of terrorists.
Aleppo
Syrian Army soldiers repelled ISIL's attack on government forces' positions in a key town in the Eastern part of Aleppo province, killing over 120 militants and wounding many more.
The army men warded off ISIL's offensives on its strongholds near the town of Deir Hafer, killing 120 terrorists and destroying their military hardware.
Meantime, clashes are underway between the Turkey-backed militants and ISIL in the nearby town of Al-Bab.
Deir Ezzur
Russian fighter jets carried out several combat flights over ISIL's positions and gatherings in Deir Ezzur, inflicting major casualties on the terrorists.
The warplanes carried out a number of airstrikes over the Thardah mountain, al-Rashidiyah, al-Arfa, and al-Huweiqa districts of Deir Ezzur city, killing a number of militants and wounding many more.

Following the attack on the mountain, an ISIL unit attacked the army's defense lines near a cemetery in al-Maqabr, resulting in another heavy fighting that lasted for nearly two hours.
The army men repelled ISIL's attacks, killing and wounding a number of them.
ISIL suffered a heavy death toll and its equipment sustained major damage in the failed attacks, pulling the remaining pockets of forces back from the battlefields.
Damascus
A large number of Syrian Army soldiers and popular forces are getting ready to carry out an imminent operation in Eastern Ghouta to hit the remaining positions of the terrorist groups in the region, the Army's High Command announced.
