RNA - John Steppling, author and commentator from Norway, told Press TV’s Top 5 that the Israeli regime and its Western and regional allies have been busy using Takfiri mercenaries to distract the world nations from the regime’s atrocities in Palestine.
“The US, NATO, EU, [and] Saudi Arabia axis in addition to Turkey and Qatar have been funding the Takfiri [terrorists] in the region. The US has targeted removal of [Syrian President Bashar] Assad, which goes back many years, but Israel has been complicit in all this,” Steppling said on Wednesday.
He also argued, “The US-Saudi war on Yemen serves Israeli interest as well,” because the conflict has been another distraction from the Israeli crimes against Palestinians.
“Israel has a history of taking advantage of distractions,” he said, noting that the conflicts in Syria, Iraq and Yemen are among tactics of the Tel Aviv regime to continue its agenda in the region.
The analyst went on to say, “Israel has never had any intention of [achieving] peace or equality with Palestine or [to go on with the so-called] two-state solution. The agenda has always been [establishment of] a greater Israel.”
He also condemned West’s policy toward the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, noting, “There was never any intention to forge an accord between Israel and Palestine.”
