Fake News:
Rasa - The 37th Summit of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council member states, held in Manama on December 7, issued a final communiqué that needs to be examined closely.

RNA - The regimes which lied about turning Iraq, Syria and Yemen into failed states, supporting and arming various terrorist groups and about a million other things would like us to believe that they still care so much about honesty. To this end, they are trying to shut down independent voices on the media, and the tool they are using to do that is this fake communique:

1- On terrorism, the regional despots reiterated their unshakeable position of rejection and condemnation of all forms of terrorism, but emphasized that more efforts should be exerted to stop terror-financing sources.

This latest pathetic effort to convince the civil society that they are a force for tolerance and stability in the world is laughable. Saudi Arabia and the mere extras have loudly and repeatedly admitted - without even a hint of self-consciousness – that they have been involved in helping to start ISIL. The evidence is pretty clear too that they don’t do these things without the CIA knowing.

2- They reaffirmed their support to all regional and international efforts to fight ISIL and all other terrorist networks and organizations in Syria, Iraq and other regions.

Far from springing from the dunes of northern Iraq or eastern Syria, the rise of ISIL is the verbatim fulfillment of long-established documented “Joe Biden Plan”. Also according to Western media outlets, the Saudis were never able to get over the fact that the US-led invasion of Iraq allowed the Shiite majority to take over the Arab country. As the Saudis began to question “US complacency in the face of Iran’s growing clout in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen,” Saudi royals and the CIA “created ISIL in response.”

3- On the recent US Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act, the conferees condemned the law, calling on Washington to rethink it due to its negative reflections on the relationship among the Arab states, ISIL and Al-Qaeda.

This is yet another well-documented evidence of their continuing support for terrorism. While the US claims it now has a legislation to fight terror-financing, in reality, the US has been arming, funding, and aiding ISIL and its terrorist affiliates either directly or through Saudi, Qatari, Jordanian, and Turkish proxies since at least 2011.

4- The conferees urged Iran to revise its regional policies, and stop harboring terrorist groups, including Hezbollah.

Hezbollah is the only Arab force that has ever been able to defend its land and hold ground against Israel and it's the force that shattered Israeli's invincibility. Hezbollah has never attacked anyone outside Lebanon and it has never attacked the Arab population, but they call it terrorist!!!??? It is no coincidence that they are accusing Iran of military intervention in Iraq and Syria: With Tehran, Russia and Hezbollah behind Damascus, there will be no clear-cut success for regime changers in the war. The same is true about Iraq. Other than trying to wrest Iraq away from Iran, the regional despots hold no interest in fostering “democracy” and “freedom” in Baghdad, let alone maintaining its unity, stability and territorial integrity.

5- On Yemen, the conferees reaffirmed full support to its unity and rejected any attempt to interfere in its domestic affairs. They then condemned the formation of a new unity government by Ansarullah and former president Ali Abdullah Saleh as a serious blow to ongoing efforts to find a political solution to the crisis.

Notwithstanding, Washington and its regional partners are still beating the drums of war in Yemen. They have always done empty lip service to ideals like freedom and democracy, and have always repeated tired tropes about “assisting” or “liberating” its people. This latest political charade falls in the same line.

The truth is, Syria, Iraq, Libya and Yemen are victims of international terrorism. The United States, Israel and some rich Arab regimes are in cahoots to regime change these countries in order to undermine Iran, to protect Israel, and to preserve the status quo.

Mark Twain once said, “A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.” Maybe that’s what the Persian Gulf Arab countries and their Western masters are counting on by this communique. But what they’re not appreciating is that, once the truth puts on its shoes, it catches up really fast. It has done now, and they can’t hide from it.
