RNA - "Cooperation among all groups inside Iraq is possible and certain regional states are required to avoid transferring their problems to Iraq," Zarif said in a meeting with Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Ammar al-Hakim in Tehran on Monday.

He described Iraq's security as Iran's security, and said, "We will render any assistance and use every possibility for the sake of the Iraqi government and nation to establish stability and security in that country and it is necessary for all Iraqi tribes and groups to move towards to this end too."

Zarif also referred to the national reconciliation plan in Iraq, and said that the UN's appreciation of the plan is an important achievement for the Iraqis.

In relevant remarks today, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani in a meeting with Ammar al-Hakim warned of secret attempts by foreign countries to create rifts among the Iraqi people.

"Mysterious efforts, led by the foreigners, are underway to create rifts among the Iraqi people's united lines and they should be defused by continued vigilance, sacrifice and increased partnership of all Iraqi groups in the political process," Shamkhani said during the meeting in Tehran on Monday.

He also lauded the Iraqi government and people's astonishing success against the terrorist groups, and said, "To prevent the revitalization of terrorism, it is necessary that the issue of effective fight against the root causes of extremism and Takfirism as well as their regional promoters and supporters would be on the agenda of the Islamic countries and the international community."
