Iraq’s Hashd Sha'abi Secures Border with Syria

Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd al-Sha'abi) announced it had secured the border with Syria after the volunteer forces liberated Tal Abta West of Mosul from ISIL terrorists.

A commander in PMF, Jawad al-Tulaibawi, said liberation of Tal Abta paved the way to secure the border between Iraq and Syria and to liberate other towns like Qairawan and Ba'aj, Al Manar reported.

Tulaibawi meanwhile said that the PMF managed to destroy six booby-trapped cars which were heading toward the Iraq forces in Tal Abta.

Meanwhile, PMF spokesman Ahmad al-Asadi said that the volunteer forces are preparing to liberate areas surrounding Tal Abta.

Iraq Sends Reinforcements to East of Mosul

A senior Iraqi commander said a number of new contingents have been sent to the East of the Northern city of Mosul to bolster the military forces already deployed there.

Major General Najim al-Jabouri, the head of the Operations Command in Nineveh Province, of which Mosul is the capital, made the announcement on Saturday, presstv reported.

The reinforcements comprise both Iraqi army units and officers with the country’s federal police, he said.

The operation to retake Mosul began on October 17. The terrorist group of ISIL seized the city in 2014, when it overran territory in a large-scale offensive in the country and named Mosul its so-called headquarters.

Iraqi Army Base Comes Under US Air Raid Again, 90 Soldiers Killed, Over 100 Wounded

The US warplanes launched airstrikes on Iraqi army troops in the city of Mosul in Nineveh province again, killing tens of government soldiers and injuring many others, informed military sources disclosed on Saturday.

"Several Iraqi army's military vehicles, including 8 BMP and 4 Humvee vehicles were destroyed in addition to leaving at least 90 soldiers dead and over 100 others injured in the US airstrikes which took place in al-Moshrefeh town on Friday," an informed source in the Iraqi army said.

The US airstrikes also resulted in the withdrawal of the Iraqi forces from some newly-liberated districts in Mosul city and a number of Iraqi troops were also captured as a result of the US air raids.

ISIL Evacuates Own Families from Mosul as Iraqi Army Makes Further Advances

The ISIL terrorists started evacuating their own families from Mosul in Nineveh province as Iraq's joint military forces are making further advances in Mosul and its surrounding areas.

The ISIL terrorists are sending their families to an unknown location in Anbar province.

The relocation of the ISIL families comes as the Iraqi security forces announced that only 10 districts are remaining under the control of the terrorist group in the Eastern part of the city.

"The ISIL terrorists have started sending their families to the Western parts of Anbar province," the London-based Arabic-language al-Hayat newspaper reported.
