RNA – Speaking during a ceremony marking the third anniversary of the martyrdom of Martyr Hasan Muhammad Abdali in the southern Lebanese town of Aytit, Hujjat al-Islam Nabil Qawouq, the vice-president of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, stressed that the achievements made by the Syrian army and the Islamic Resistance in Aleppo have created a new military and political equation and this has led to the failure, collapse and retreat of the Takfiri project.
The Lebanese Shi’ah cleric added that the Syrian government has become stronger and has been able to prevent all forms of aggression against it and has removed all the risks which could have lead to the overthrow of the government of President Bashar al-Asad.
Hujjat al-Islam Qawouq said the fire of the Takfiris, terrorists and Wahhabis is destroying Islamic countries and that Takfiris are the enemies of Muslims and allies of the Zionist regime. Through the crimes and terrorist actions that they commit, these groups have had the ability to erode the strongest armies in the Arab world, including in Egypt, Syria and Iraq.
“The occupying Zionist regime openly supports the Takfiri phenomenon because through the budget of Saudi Arabia, they fulfill the objectives of this regime,” he stressed.
Hujjat al-Islam Qawouq said that Hezbollah is subject to the security, political and spiritual attacks of the enemies and the constant aim of the Saudi regime is to target the Islamic Resistance and to attempt to create division and dissension between Hezbollah and its allies but all of their efforts end in disappointment and have no benefit for them.
He stressed that Saudi Arabia no longer has an honourable, good or moderate image among the Muslims of the world, especially as Muslims are now ashamed of the crimes committed by the Al Saud regime which pushes and throws all its weight to fuel the fires raging in Syria, Yemen, Bahrain and Iraq despite claiming to be the country of the Two Holy Mosques.
Hujjat al-Islam Qawouq noted that the Saudi regime wanted to distance Syria from the Islamic Resistance and overthrow the country’s government by pumping their arms and money into Takfiri terrorist groups but after five years they have only seen disappointment after disappointment, especially after the al-Nusrah Front was designated as a terrorist organization in the September 2016 agreement between the US and Russia, which was supported by various countries of the world.
“Thus, the Saudi project failed to protect the al-Nusrah Front and this is considered a loss for the Saudi bet on the al-Nusrah Front in Syria,” he said.
