RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Abbas Ka’bi, a representative of the people of Khuzestan in the Assembly of Experts and a member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, said the enthusiastic presence of the clans, tribes and people of Khuzestan in the funeral of the martyrs of the November 24th Hillah bombing and the slogans of “Labbayk Ya Husayn [we are at your service, Oh Husayn!]” and Hayhat Min adh-Dhillah [woe unto the wretched!]” strengthen the Husayni identity and continuity of the path of the martyrs of this attack.
According to security sources, a truck loaded with explosives went off at a gas station in the Iraqi village of Shomali in the suburbs of the city of Hillah, located 120 kilometres southeast of the capital Baghdad and around 80 kilometres from Karbala.
Reports say most of the victims were Iranian nationals who were returning from the Arba’in pilgrimage in Karbala.
Ayatollah Ka’bi said that after disappointment over Arabs from the Iranian province of Khuzestan, who expressed their guardianship and the renewal of their allegiance to Imam Husayn and the Ahlul-Bayt by attending the Arba’in pilgrimage, Wahhabis and Takfiris committed this terrorist attack.
Reports state that over 70,000 people participated in the funeral service which was held in the southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz on Wednesday.
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom said that the passionate participation of the people in the funeral of the martyrs of terrorist attack in Hillah is an expression of their adherence to the guardianship of Imam Husayn and these martyrs.
Ayatollah Ka’bi offered his condolences to the families of the martyrs of this terrorist attack and said “The enthusiastic participation of the people in the funeral of these martyrs their raising the banner of ‘Labbayk Ya Husayn’ was an answer to the call of Imam Husayn.”
