RNA – In a speech, Hujjat al-Islam Akram al-Ka’bi, the Secretary-General of the Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba [“Movement of the Party of God’s Nobles”] Islamic Resistance group, welcomed the decision of the Iraqi parliament to approve a legislation to give full legal status to fighters from the Popular Mobilization Forces, who have joined forces with government forces in counter-terrorism operations against Daesh Takfiri militants across the country, and said the legislation will silence the ill-wishers and has angered the sponsors of sedition and tribalism in the country.

 

The Iraqi cleric added that the approval of this legislation only angered one group of Iraqi citizens – political extremists and those who support Daesh who want the imperialist powers to have a role in governing the country.

 

He said with the approval of this legislation, which recognizes the Popular Mobilization Forces as part of the national armed forces, this tyrannical minority that has dominated Iraq and has capitalized on terrorism to enforce their demands as a political agreement to rule over the country will be defeated.
 

 
Also speaking in response to this important event, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Hashim al-Mousawi, the official spokesman of the Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, said that this legislation describes the Popular Mobilization Forces as a group “loyal to the blood of martyrs, war veterans and brave people present on the battlefield.”

 

Hujjat al-Islam al-Mousawi said that through its victories, the Popular Mobilization Forces was able to destroy the enemies’ plots to divide the country and today, they became a powerful arm of the Iraq’s army, police and security forces.

 

He referred to the boycott of the parliamentary session by some Sunni parliamentarians and said those who sold their land to the enemies, don’t have the right to give away the rights of their countrymen added that the invitation of those who boycotted the vote is considered a new plot against Iraq.
