RNA - In the House of Representatives where ignorance is not a handicap, a number of lawmakers have come up with the Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act of 2016 to set the stage for the US to conduct a wider war against the Syrian people and government. The bill effectively pulls resources away from the fight against ISIL - something President-elect Donald Trump had promised to do the moment he got his hands on the key to the White House.
According to the House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce, the bill - which no doubt will be passed - would “impose new sanctions on supporters of Syria’s Assad Regime, encourage negotiations to end the crisis, and kick off investigations into the eventual prosecution of war criminals.”
Royce, the most ignorant of all and self assured in this premature decision, says the bill will also set the stage for the implementation of so-called safe zones, a no-fly zone over Syria, as well as direct US military force and coalition air power to further the agenda of “moderates” who seek the overthrow of the government in Damascus.
Nor is that all. The bill’s sponsors (strange enough they include Syrian “moderates” and White Helmets) seek to capitalize on President-elect Trump’s pledge to kill the Iran nuclear deal as well. They want the incoming administration to focus on the alleged Iran threat to US interests in the region – with the support not just from Republican hardliners who control both houses of Congress, but from incoming Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, himself a prominent opponent of the Iran deal.
No doubt this is a dangerous course. It could set the US military on a collision course with Russian and Iranian advisors that are on the ground in Syria. It could set the stage for direct war with Russia as well, as it has already moved its aircraft carrier, the Admiral Kuznetsov, into the Mediterranean and has S300 and S400 missile-defense batteries in Syria, which it has pledged to use in defense of its ally.
Worse still, the Iran Sanctions Act Extension, which was also passed in the House, would extend US sanctions on Iran for another 10 years. This and the passage of the Caesar Syrian Civilian Protection Act are part of a broader attempt by the War Party and incoming administration hardliners (encouraged by the Israeli-Saudi lobbies) to contain what they allege as Iranian expansionist designs in the Middle East that never existed.
Here, the imbeciles are free to assume that they have the best of it in this world. But they are wrong to assume that they can sit at their ease and gape at the play that is the Middle East wars without suffering consequences.
After 13 years of war and terror, they know nothing of victory in Iraq, Syria and Yemen, and they won't be spared the knowledge of defeat yet again. They can live as their medieval terror proxy forces live - undisturbed, indifferent, and without disquiet about the horrible things they have done to people in the heartlands of the Muslim world. They can also elect an Islamophobic president and pass bills to bring ruin upon others, and make the “others” suffer for what they have given them under the bogus terror war. But they will suffer too - terribly.
The warmongers might not be aware that something is wrong, but they will soon notice that their premature decision won't turn out the way they imagined. It will be yet another disaster all because of them. They are the root of their own problems in Syria- not Iran and certainly not Russia.
Tragic enough, too many people, either ignorantly or intentionally, but happily are still going in the wrong direction in Syria. It’s a waste of time to goad them to do introspection for the course correction or the right selection of real partners in the ISIL war. If Afghanistan is any indication, they won't hesitate to brand anyone with a positive reflection and good intention to be a THREAT to their interests in the region.
Nobody knows what God's plan is for Syria, but a whole lot of people will guess for the criminal hordes if they let them. You can't fix them and you shouldn't use up your patience to fix them.
