RNA - For the last five years or so, Syria has been subject to pure evil and mischief. From shock and awe campaigns, genocide, mass executions, barbarism, Takfiri-Wahhabi terrorism, destruction and beheadings to international double standards, sanctions, isolation, criminality and apathy. All these atrocities and mischiefs have easily managed to disturb the world’s understanding about what really happens at the outer reaches of Western media propaganda and psychological warfare.

Out there, what is seemingly “real” is mixed with myth, fantasy, lies, and damn lies, as if all Western-Arab narrative frames have been engineered and compacted together for one purpose, and one purpose only: The fixed idea in America’s ISIL War (War on Syria) that other countries must endorse and follow, and so, in their fiction, they do.

It is here that the wealthy and powerful, the wicked elite of experts and professional politicians in Western-Arab capitals, are wrong - dead wrong. Thanks to the recent spirit of military gains by Syria and its allies, the regime changers no longer have some level of consent and support from the majority at the United Nations for their illegal war. As a consequence, they are no longer able to protect their wealth, enhance their Wahhabism ideology, or spread their tarns-regional hegemony.

Perhaps, this is also an apt description for the current socio-economic, political turmoil in the United States, mainly between the progressives (mostly championed by minorities, immigrants and people of colour) and the mainstream media (mostly owned by big corporations) and the political/business/military elites.

That the warmongers are no longer allowed, let alone able, to carry on their reign of terror in Syria, especially against its long-suffering people, in order to bind them to the global hegemonic system, is beyond dispute. With the onset of Iranian, Russian and Hezbollah forces, the flow of weapons and jihadis stopped and vast amounts of territories were liberated – not only in Syria but also in Iraq.

The point, however, is that the desperate reaction of the political/business/military elites was expected and long overdue. They did offer yet another false hope and policy reversal, this time in the face of President-Elect Donald Trump while blaming anyone but themselves for the global mess that is Syria. They expect him to clear their mess and bring his new version of “change” (not to be mixed with Obama’s change) that will set Yankee ingenuity free once it has broken the shackles of pesky “moderates” and Al-Qaeda-linked heritage-wreckers in Syria.

For the good news, the “new president of change” Trump offers to feel the pain of the crumbling White Supremacists, while apparently carrying out an orgy of criticism against warmongers on top of the establishment. Although there may be cultural differences between the Democrats and Republicans, on such things as civil rights and immigration, on foreign policy front, neoliberalism and pro-Israel militarism is the joint orthodoxy. President Obama’s recent pushing of strikes against Al-Qaeda-linked Nusra Front, which is allied with US-backed “moderate” rebels, being a case in point.

The bad news, however, is that this is too little too late for America to save face. After more than five years of unleashing hell, the game is wearing thin for the United States and its allies – even if a new face and messaging has been picked to redirect attention away from the real situation on the ground:

In today’s Syria, the “moderate” armed groups have been mostly destroyed or thoroughly co-opted by ISIL and Nusra Front. Not even the ongoing campaign of airstrikes against the latter ordered by outgoing President Obama will be allowed to regain the lost grounds for “moderates.” With their proxy forces besieged in both Mosul and Aleppo, the only alternative for the new populist at the White House has to be calling it quits in Syria.

In summation, the fake revolutionary Trump is free to step onto the world stage and assuage the majority at the UN that like Obama he will throw some of the “moderates” that serve Saudi Arabia, ISIL and Al-Qaeda under the bus. But he is wrong to assume he can redirect attention away from the calamity that is the Syria blowback, the global refugee crisis, AND the increasingly bizarre American landscape of war and peace.

God never left Syria, as Iran, Syria and Russia are putting out the candle of the wicked. They never desire to be with the American mischiefs in yet more wasted years of destructive terror war. That which is crooked cannot be made straight or trusted, and such is the fate of the wicked: “Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.”
