Rasa - Senior Advisor to the Iranian Parliament Speaker Hossein Amir Abdollahian in a meeting with Danish Deputy Foreign Minister Lone Dencker Wisborg in Tehran on Wednesday blasted the US government for supporting the terrorist groups and destabilizing the peace talks in Syria.

RNA - "The US is neglecting the issue of sustainable security in Syria peace talks and using terrorism as a tactic," Amir Abdollahian said.

 

The top Iranian advisor stressed the continuation of international efforts to resolve the Syrian crisis, and said, "The world should be after a political realistic solution to the Syrian crisis."

 

Amir Abdollahian, meantime, pointed to the long history of parliamentary relations between the two countries, and said, "Tehran and Copenhagen enjoy many opportunities for interaction and cooperation based on mutual interests."

 

The Danish deputy foreign minister, for her part, pointed to good relations between the two countries, specially in the field of parliamentary diplomacy, and called for the development of sustainable peace in Syria.

 

She praised the European Union's Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini's efforts in helping to resolve the Syrian crisis.

 

The Danish diplomat also described conditions in Yemen as terrible, acknowledging that the road map for peace is needed.

 

Wisborg pointed out that the creation of an inclusive government after the liberation of Mosul in Iraq and the participation of all political groups is necessary, and added that Tehran and Copenhagen hold same viewpoints on Iraq.

 

In relevant remarks on Tuesday, Amir Abdollahian reiterated his country's firm determination to continue support for Syria's campaign against terrorism, and called on sponsors of the terrorist groups to review their policies.

 

"We will powerfully continue our support for Syria's fight against terrorism and for the attainment of a political solution (to the crisis in Syria)," Amir Abdollahian said in a meeting with Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mikdad in Tehran.

 

He referred to the field developments in Syria, and said, "Supporters of the terrorist groups in the region are needed to revise their policies and they should come to realize that continuing the present trend will not only harm them and all the regional states, but also seriously endanger international peace and security."

 

Elsewhere, Amir Abdollahian referred to the US policies on Syria and the influence of the presidential elections on Washington's approach, and said, "The Americans seek to exert more pressure on Syria during the tenure of the new president as they don’t grasp the realities on the ground."
