RNA  - "The Americans think that they can send the terrorists from Mosul to Syria but we are sure that the Hashd al-Shaabi forces" will foil their plots, Mikdad said in a meeting with Iranian Supreme Leader's top aide Ali Akbar Velayati in Tehran on Monday.

Velayati, for his part, warned that the enemies are after disintegration of Iraq and Syria to divide them into smaller countries to have more control over the regional states.

"With such plots, they want to provide security for Israel but this dream and illusion will not come true," he added.

Mikdad's remarks came after Commander of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces Hadi al-Ameri said Hashd al-Shaabi forces have seized full control of the ISIL-controlled roads linking the city of Mosul in Iraq to Raqqa in Syria.

"We have expanded control over the strategic Tal al-Zalat intersection and seized control over vital roads and supply routes, including Tal Afar-al-Mohlabieh-Mosul road," al-Ameri, who is also the Badr Organization Secretary General, said on Saturday.

He noted that volunteer forces have also imposed control over the strategic Tal Abteh to al-Ba'aj road which was the most important route of the ISIL to Syria.

Iraq's joint military forces have recently ushered in massive operations to seize back Mosul city. Mosul is the ISIL's last bastion in Iraq and seizing back the city will make the ISIL to sustain a heavy defeat.
