RNA - The United States is using terrorist groups as “chess pieces” for its own interests in the Middle East, says a former US government advisor.
“This is what the United States is doing. It is using these bandits, if you will, criminals, thugs and it is offering them remuneration and supplies and weapons in order to cause problems and it is attempting to direct them in ways that it considers it to be to their advantage,” Paul Larudee told.
He also dismissed United States’ claim of its involvement in the anti-terror fight, explaining that Washington is actually encouraging, arming and financing the terrorist groups for achieving its own purposes.
The analyst went on to say that the war in Syria has been based on great “fantasy” and “deception,” adding that the United States and some of the terrorist groups have means of propaganda at their disposal.
Larudee further opined that people from all ethnic and religious groups in Syria should cooperate and work together in common in order to build a society that functions very effectively.
The northern and western parts of Iraq have been plagued by gruesome violence ever since Daesh terrorists mounted a large-scale offensive in June 2014. During recent months, Iraq's government forces, helped by Popular Mobilization Units, have been pushing Daesh terrorists out of much of the areas they have overrun. The group also has a presence in neighboring Syria, where various terrorist groups have been wreaking havoc since 2011.
