RNA - “The [Iranian] Armed Forces will make any country threatening [us] as well as their allies regret [their acts],” Iranian Army's Ground Forces Commander Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan said on Wednesday.

He referred to the proxy wars launched by Takfiris in the Middle East as the new forms of threat against the Islamic Republic.

The commander also warned of a soft war waged against Iran, saying the US was investing in winning the hearts and minds of Iran’s young generation.

In recent years, Iran has made major breakthroughs in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing important military equipment and systems.

Iran has also held several military drills to boost its defense capabilities and assess its readiness to counter any possible threats against its territory.

The Islamic Republic has repeatedly asserted that its military might poses no threat to other countries, stressing that its defense doctrine is solely based on deterrence.

Meanwhile, Iran has been keeping a watchful eye on its borders to counter any potential moves by Takfiri and terrorist elements.

The Iranian officials have maintained that sustainable security along the country's borders is a redline for the Islamic Republic.
