Rasa – The leader of the Indian Alavi Bohras paid a visit to Qom’s University of Religions and Denominations and met with its officials where he familiarized the participants with the Alavi Bohra sect.

Rasa – Accompanied by a religious delegation of Indian Bohra’s, Mawlana Hatem Zakiyuddin, the 45th Da’i al-Mutlaq, “the absolute or unrestricted missionary,” of the Alavi Bohra, a minority group of Isma’ili Shi’ah Muslims from India, paid a visit to the University of Religions and Denominations in Qom during which they met with Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Abolhasan Navvab, the president of the university as well as some other faculty members, to discuss religious issues.

 
During the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to develop research and scientific cooperation in areas such as exchanging historic manuscripts and publishing joint books in order to introduce Isma’ilism and its various sects and doctrine.


The Indian scholars who were from Vadodara, Gujurat, India also visited the central library of the university. Mawlana Zakiyuddin further expressed his willingness to expand scientific cooperation with University of Religions and Denominations in terms of book exchanging programs.


In the end of his visit, Mawlana Zakiyuddin attended a meeting with the university’s professors and students in order to introduce them to Indian Alavi Bohra sect.
