RNA - “Sectarianism, ethnicity and stirring religious differences have no place in Iran’s regional and international policies,” Qassemi said in reaction to Kurtulmuş's remarks.

The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman said that Iran's regional policies have emerged from noble Islamic values and teachings that highly prioritize security and stability of the neighboring countries, specially Muslim states.

“Iran's influence has arisen from good will accompanied by respect for independence and territorial integrity of the neighboring countries whereby understanding the same should not be difficult for some political observers," Qassemi added.

Qassemi underlined that it is necessary that the regional countries should work for ending tensions and conflicts by understanding the region’s sensitive situation.

On Thursday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry called Turkey's Ambassador to Tehran Reza Hakan Takin to voice strong protest at Ankara's unrealistic stances against Iran's policy in the region.

"Following some recent unrealistic statements and stances by a number senior Turkish officials to blame others over the developments in the region, Turkey's Ambassador to Tehran Reza Hakan Takin has been summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry in the last few days to be informed of Iran's strong protest," an informed source told FNA on Thursday.

The source declined to reveal any further details about the meeting or the specific topic of Tehran's protest.

Iranian officials have not made any comment in this regard yet.
