RNA - Hossein Maleki, first counselor in the permanent mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the UN, read a statement to the UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday, in reaction to the anti-Iran comments by Benjamin Netanyahu.
He said the Israeli premier misused the UN podium to deceive the international community, congratulate his own regime for its success in bringing misery on Palestinian people, and divert attention from Tel Aviv’s stockpile of nuclear and chemical weapons and militaristic policies.
Dismissing Netanyahu’s allegations against Iran as unfounded and ridiculous, Maleki said the Islamic Republic is at the forefront of the fight against terrorism in the region, while the Zionist regime of Israel is proved to be a supporter of the Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) terrorist group.
There is hard evidence that Daesh militants fighting in Syria have been admitted to the Israeli hospitals for treatment, he added.
The Iranian diplomat also described the Israeli regime’s isolation and its failed attempt to prevent a lasting agreement on Iran’s peaceful nuclear program as proof that no leader or government in the world cares about the Israeli rhetoric and bogus claims against Iran.
