RNA - "Iran is the most independent and influential country in the region and world for its security and strength," Velayati wrote on his Instagram page on Friday.

He reiterated that the Iranian Armed Forces enjoy the highest level of preparedness, and are ready to give crushing response to any possible foreign threat.

In early August, Velayati warned Washington that Tehran will take countermeasures to confront the US negative approach on regional issues and the nuclear deal.

"Iran's hands are not tied up at all to take measures based on its national interests," Velayati said in an interview with al-Mayadeen news channel.

"Iran is always free to act based on its national interests in the region, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and other different places," he added.

Noting that the same thing is true about implementation of the last year nuclear deal clinched by Tehran and the world powers too, Velayati said, "They shouldn’t think that Iran's hands are tied up in the nuclear issue."
