RNA - The fragile deal has been awash in angry backlash against Saturday’s US airstrikes in Deir Ezzur, a suspicious “blunder” which killed at least 83 Syrian soldiers. It's the latest in a slew of bogus truce deals that symbolize to world community the evils of US and NATO aggressions in the heartlands of the Muslim world.
The week-long ceasefire was supposed to be the Global West’s analog to a longer one, but after frustrated negotiations and verbal attacks, it was just pronounced dead, or at least temporarily moribund. To say the least, this one was overwhelmed by at least 200 attacks from America’s photoshopped freedom fighters, plus its own deadly airstrike on Satuday. How did that happen?
The calamitous fallout does amount to a major US violation of the ceasefire, as it may end up handing the entire oil-rich Deir Ezzor province to ISIL. Russia responded to the bombing by calling an emergency UN Security Council meeting, leading US Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power to publicly blow up, foolishly slamming the meeting as “a magician’s trick” and “a stunt.” Apparently, for the criminal hordes, the Syrian government is still fully to blame for what’s happening in Syria, and the meeting is a “diversion from what is happening on the ground”!
This is not an attempt to score “cheap points” as Power would like to suggest. This is about Washington publicly supporting terrorists and killing scores of Syrian soldiers who were defending an airport from ISIL. Now it’s pointless to say that the only way forward is for Washington to stop looking like an absolute monster and killing Syrian soldiers, start demanding its agents of disintegration split with Al-Qaeda affiliate Nusra Front, and participate in the ceasefire. It will never happen.
The War Party in Washington is free to shout otherwise until it is blue in the face, but the timing of its attack was indeed suspicious. The US and NATO aggressors had hoped to sell this latest ceasefire deal as a boon to “humanitarian intervention” and later “transition” in Syria. But an increasingly cynical world public wasn’t buying it from day one, seeing it instead as another pathway to regime decapitation in Damascus.
Following this latest US airstrike and at least 200 cases of other violations by its designates, further “ceasefire” negotiations should be suspended indefinitely. No doubt the regime changers, their photoshopped freedom fighters, and any other designation that helps hide imperialist intervention, are still hoping for a more opportune military climate. The failure of this latest ruse illustrates that, in real-life military terms, bogus truce deals as such could mostly prove useless at best for the people of Syria who want victory, and devastating at worst for the world community, who want peace and security.
Under these circumstances, Syria has to win in order for peace and reconciliation to begin. And American and NATO “peacemakers” must be dreaded and opposed wherever they surface in the world. That statement ought to be the starting point for anyone calling for yet another silly deal at the United Nations. Of course, the aggressors will always try and use another ruse to create the image of a monster in the hope to diminish UN resistance to their bogus War on Terror and truce deals. But for how long?
This is not the right time to find ourselves confused and rendered immobile by this predictable propaganda. We should never allow the warmongers to manipulate us into being at best ineffectual and at worst supporters of their state sponsored terror and regime-change campaign.
The United States government and its rogues gallery are directly responsible for the failure of this latest truce, much as the way they have been for the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Syria. The War Party has always used ceasefire deals at opportune moments when they need a breather to regroup their rogues gallery. They didn't start this one with an expectation of losing. Both Democratic and Republican presidential nominees Hillary Clinton and Donald Tump have already made clear their allegiance to regime change in Syria. One of them will take the helm from Obama in two months’ time.
