RNA - "Tehran is committed to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and expects the other side to do the same and urgently lift the economic sanctions," Salehi said on Thursday, addressing a meeting of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) in London.
He called on the other side to promptly carry out its duties and lift the economic sanctions imposed on Iran.
In relevant remarks last week, Iran's First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri called on the other side to fulfill its commitments as brought in the nuclear agreement.
"The commitment to the implementation of the JCPOA depends on the commitment of all sides," Jahangiri said, addressing the opening ceremony of the start of construction operation of the second and third units of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant.
The Iranian first vice president pointed to the importance and the need for gaining access to advanced technologies, and said, "Out peaceful use of the nuclear technology has been misunderstood by the big powers in recent years, and for the same reason huge economic, political and social costs have been imposed on the Iranian nation."
In mid-August, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif underlined that a Joint Commission would hold a session soon to discuss the US disloyalty to the JCPOA.
"We will have another session of the Joint Commission to discuss the US violation of commitments and some other issues in the near future," Zarif told reporters.
The Iranian foreign minister noted that the commission has convened whenever deemed necessary, and said, "Necessary solutions to problems have always been worked out during the meetings."
Earlier in August, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and senior negotiator Seyed Abbas Araqchi warned the US and other world powers against breaching the contents of the nuclear deal signed with Tehran last year.
"There are still some laggings, negligence and disloyalty by the other side and we confront them very strongly and remind the other side of its responsibilities," Araqchi said after meeting the Iranian legislators in Tehran.
Stressing that Iran will pursue and act against any shortcomings and lagging of the world powers in implementing the nuclear deal, he said that if needed, the legal procedures stated in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (the nuclear deal) will be paved (in case of facing the other sides' violation of the agreement).
