Rasa - The Palestinian prisoner’s society (PPS) Wednesday said 50 prisoners started a hunger strike in solidarity with two prisoners Mahmoud al-Balboul and Malik al-Qadi who have been striking for around 70 days.

RNA - PPS said that strike will be carried out gradually in Naqab, Nafha, Ofer and Rimon prisons, WAFA reported.

 

Al-Balboul brothers and al-Qadi began their hunger strikes in June 2016 to protect their administrative detention.

 

Al-Qadi reportedly slipped into coma days ago and is on the verge of death while al-Balboul brothers suffer from increasing pain and their health condition was described as critical.

 

In a separate Incident, Israeli forces Wednesday detained a Palestinian girl from al-Yamoun town along with four of her relatives.

 

Witnesses told WAFA that the girl was identified as 19-year-old Lana Samoudi while her relatives remain unidentified until the moment.

 

The reason behind the arrest of Samoudi and her four relatives at Al-Jalama checikpoint North of Jenin remains unclear until the moment.
