RNA - "The situation in Syria, Yemen and Iraq is the result of alien attempts to sow discord and today, more than ever, we need the Asian states' cooperation, and regional crises should be resolved in accordance with the region's special features and through the partnership and demand of the regional people," Jahangiri said, addressing the first meeting of the tourism ministers of the Assembly of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) in the Northwestern city of Tabriz on Tuesday.

"Today that the Middle-East has turned into a shelter for the Salafi and terrorist groups as a result of revengeful and divisive policies, we can confront this ominous thought by interactions among the nations and reliance on common humanitarian and civilizational values and try for the prosperity of the nations," he added.

In relevant remark in December, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani took the western states responsible for the spread of terrorism in the regional countries, specially Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran warned of the danger of spread of terrorism to different countries in the past few years but the westerners remained indifferent to Iran's positions and kept mum; therefore, the terrorist streams were supported and developed in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq with the help of the westerners and certain regional states," Larijani said, addressing a ceremony in the Central city of Qom.

Meantime, he regretted that although the western states have now come to realize the real danger of terrorism, they still continue support for them.

"The terrorist streams in Syria, including the ISIL, use modern western weapons like TOW missiles which shows that the westerners are still after supporting these groups," Larijani said.
