Rasa - Iranian Foreign Minister Bahram Qassemi condemned the recent terrorist attacks in the two Turkish cities of Van and Elazig which claimed the lives of several people.

RNA - "Any type of using force, act of violence and terrorist act anywhere in the world is condemned and regarded a crime against humanity," Qassemi said.

 

The Iranian  foreign ministry spokesman expressed sympathy with the bereaved families of the victims of the terrorist attacks.

 

"The dirty hands have intensified desperate actions to destabilize the region, specially the Muslim countries," Qassemi said.

 

He reiterated that the terrorist acts will not help their perpetrators to achieve their goals and will only strengthen solidarity among people against terrorism.

 

On Wednesday night and Thursday morning, two big car bombs hit police stations in separate cities in Turkey, killing six people and wounding at least 219 others.

 

The first attack targeted a police station in the eastern city of Van, killing one police officer and two civilians. Some 73 people were hurt.

 

Hours later, a police station in Elazig was hit, killing at least three police officers and wounding 146 people.
