RNA – Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, met with the minister, deputies and administrators of the Ministry of Intelligence today, Tuesday afternoon.
In the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei described the ministry as a “very important and sensitive stronghold” further adding they are the “perspicacious and vigilant eyes of the Islamic Republic.”
Ayatollah Khamenei stressed: “The Ministry of Intelligence is a strong shell of the establishment and should not become vulnerable at all.”
He thanked the different sectors within the Ministry of the Intelligence for their faithful efforts throughout day and night, articulating that the victory and survival of the Islamic Revolution is tied to preserving faith and belief. “The failure of the global arrogant front against the Islamic Republic – despite employing all the conspiracies and tricks since the first days after the Revolution – would not be possible without a strong faith that held up the Iranians,” said the Leader.
His Eminence called any effort to weaken faith among the populous and officials an act of “treason.” He added: “The power of defense, which has preserved the country throughout the years, stems from the power of faith; if this powerful and efficient weaponry is weakened, and abundant downfalls will come our way.”
Additionally, he placed emphasis on the strengthening of spiritual and faith-related aspects within the Ministry of Intelligence by stating: “The Ministry of Intelligence is the hardened shell of the establishment and should never become weak; thus, strengthening key elements like faith and spirituality should be given attention to in this ministry, more than any other government sectors.”
His Eminence also pointed to the rich capacity the Ministry of Intelligence has in recruiting faithful, Revolutionary forces and youth; advising the officials in charge to do as once done in the past like, “grow and uphold a value-based and Revolutionary spirit with the new generation at the Ministry of Intelligence.”
Ayatollah Khamenei described the Ministry of Intelligence as “the perspicacious and vigilant eyes of the Islamic Republic.”
He put further emphasis on the foundations and orientations of the Islamic Revolution, which should be “totally sustained in the Ministry of Intelligence,” outlining the foundations of the Islamic Revolution as the transparent works and statements of Imam Khomeini by stating the following: “Maintaining a distance from the head of the arrogant front, the United States of America, is the most important and resolute fundamental teaching of our noble Imam, this issue has no room for compromise and negligence.”
The Supreme Leader also held that: “The Ministry of Intelligence must have an active presence in any sector or area, which can be a route for the enemies to prepare an ambush on the Islamic Revolution, they should consider that sector as an area of activity.”
Finally, Ayatollah Khamenei touched on the role of the Ministry of Intelligence, upon the realization of the Economy of Resistance in preventing and dealing with economic corruption, by stating that “The solution to the problems of our country is the Economy of Resistance; measures have been initiated in this regard, however, the outcomes of these measures should be practically tangible.”
