RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Kadhim al-Jabiri, the head of the Theological Guidance Institute of the Popular Mobilization Forces, stated that the ISIL entered Iraq as a huge conspiracy and with strong spiritual support. Without doubt, the footprints of Israel, Saudi Arabia and several other countries have been seen in the growth and strengthening of ISIL.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Jabiri stated after the overthrow of the Ba’ath Party, Iraq began facing a difficult situation. The sectarian conflicts which began after the Americans arrived had a negative impact on the country and came with high costs. Although the conflict was portrayed as tribal, the work of United States and Israel can clearly be seen behind such conflicts.

“From our perspective, the events of the past few years and what the US along with several other countries, has done in Iraq has led to Sunni countries feeling the impression that their existence was in danger,” he stated.

The Shi’a scholar expressed regret that most Sunnis assume that this scenario is designed to completely destroy them. This feeling among Sunnis has two main reasons; the first reason is undoubtedly some wrong policies and practices carried out by the Shi’as.

Indeed, some elements among the Shi’as exist who have engaged in arbitrary behaviour and so far we have not been able to control them. But the second reason should be noted by the media. Some media are playing a damaging role by spreading propaganda and highlighting sectarian tensions and fomenting religious conflict.
