RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Ahmad Beheshti pointed to the effects of the Islamic ummah on Quds Day saying: “One important result is that the world understands the Muslim world will not be silent against the colonialism, arrogance and bullying of the imperial powers and the crimes of the Israeli regime. Their cries of protest have always been uplifting and will always be uplifting.”
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom said that their cries and protests should continue until the final victory of the Islamic world and said that this year, al-Quds Day faces a special issue – the crimes of the Al Khalifah regime in Bahrain.
Ayatollah Beheshti said the Al Khalifah regime has revoked the citizenship of the Bahraini Shi’a leader, Ayatollah Isa Qasim, and has intensified its pressure on the people of the country. However, Ayatollah Isa Qasim will never leave the trench and will not abandon the country or its soil.
“The scholars, elders and authorities have condemned this action with one voice and this issue must be considered in the al-Quds Day rallies and the protests against the Al Khalifah and Al Saud must be so overwhelming that the peoples’ loud voices reach the heavens,” he said.
In other remarks, Ayatollah Beheshti explained that another issue that must be addressed is Saudi Arabia’s prevention of Iranian pilgrims attending the Hajj pilgrimage and said this appalling behaviour must be condemned and the Islamic world must say that “enough is enough” with a united voice.
“Also,” he said, “the protestors must stress that the Al Saud does not have the capabilities and does not deserve to administer the Two Holy Shrines in Makkah and Madinah.”
He stressed that the Islamic world and the demonstrators on al-Quds Day must strongly condemn Takfiri terrorist groups and the world needs to be aware of their crimes and they must also raise the issue of the oppressed people of Yemen and Syria.
