Grand Mufti of Croatia:
Rasa – Croatia’s Grand Mufti met with the head of Iran’s Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations, stressing necessity of expanding ties between Tehran and Zagreb in a bid to confront the threats from extremist groups.

RNA – Aziz Hasanović, Croatia’s Grand Mufti, met with Abouzar Ebrahimi-Torkaman, head of Iran’s Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations, stressing necessity of expanding ties between Tehran and Zagreb in a bid to confront threats of extremist groups. 

 

He hailed activities by representatives of Iran’s Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations in other countries and its introduction of the true Islam to non-Muslims urging cooperation of two countries in line with Islamic solidarity and promotion of coexistence among all Muslims.

 
The Grand Mufti of Croatia praised the intimate ties between Shi’a and Sunni communities in Iran and said,” Iran as a Muslim country has greatly contributed to closeness of different
Islamic denominations and that sets a good example for other countries.”

 
Hasanović also referred to cooperation of two countries in line with counter-terrorism activities and stressed capabilities of two countries to stand against terrorist groups once they expand mutual ties in this field.


The Croatian official touched upon a two-day conference on “Leaders of European Islamic Countries” attended by Iran’s Mohammad-Ali Taskhiri, advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim World Affairs, stressing the jihadi (struggle for God Almighty) nature of all Islamic activists and scholars.

 
He referred to 100th anniversary of recognition of Islam in Croatia constitution and said Croatia Muslims have long been trying to safeguard Islam and legalize Islamic activities in the European capital.

 

In this meeting, the Iranian official referred to presence of terrorist and extremist groups in the Middle East region and stressed capabilities of Islamic countries to stand against these groups once they maintain their unity.
