RNA – Speaking at the funeral of Martyr Mustafa Badreddin, Shaykh Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun, the Grand Mufti of Syria, said the aim of the children of the Islamic Resistance is not to kill or to harm others, but rather they do not want the responsibility of losing Palestine and the Islamic nation to be on their shoulders when they stand before God Almighty on the Day of Judgement.
He added that the Islamic Resistance will remain Syria’s crown of dignity and an honourable pillar and the pride of the Islamic and Arab worlds.
Syria’s Minister of Information, Omran al-Zoubi also participated in the funeral for the senior Hezbollah commander, who was martyred by Takfiri terrorists on Friday, saying the rules of this war are different from all other wars in which the armies of the world have ever fought.
al-Zoubi said the war in Syria has targeted humanity and all civilizational, religious and national assets.
He added that with all these difficulties, Syria and its allies have had faith in the stability and rights of this country and during this war, they have resisted against the enemies because we have not aggressed against territory of any other country and we have not behead any of their dead but the enemies have committed such actions.
According to al-Zoubi, resistance against the invading terrorists is not a choice for Syria, but it is the country’s destiny. “This is the destiny of all of us and all the lovers of Syria and all honourable people,” he said.
Also speaking at Martyr Badreddin’s funeral, Shaykh Ibrahim Amin al-Sayyid, a member of Hezbollah’s Political Council, said Martyr Mustafa Badreddin has achieved martyrdom and his name will remain in every victory.
He said Syria has stood up against the Americans and Europeans and supported the Palestinian resistance in all areas.
al-Sayyid said that the martyrdom of Mustafa Badreddin is a symbol of victory and change in the Islamic ummah and added: “Oh rulers of Saudi Arabia and the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf! If you want to be the allies of the Zionist regime, this isn’t a problem but you can do so without destroying the Islamic ummah!”
Ahmad Jibril, the Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, said that martyrdom of Mustafa Badreddin shows that the ‘Islamic Resistance Front’ has become stronger, especially Hezbollah. “Their esteem and determination in the fight against the Takfiri and terrorists plots of the Zionist enemy and their mercenaries will make it stronger,” he said.
Jibril praised the “courageous decision” of Martyr Badreddin, his friends and honourable Palestinians to stand alongside the Syrian army and sacrifice hundreds of martyrs when this “international conspiracy” against Syria began in 2011.
