RNA – Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem-Shirazi said in his meeting with Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Ebrahim Raeisi, “Introduce the extensive services of Astan Quds Razavi to people of the Islamic Iran and lovers of Imam al-Ridha by general propagation.”
Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi pointed out, “Over the years after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, hard attempts have been made in Astan Quds Razavi and the rate of development in the time of Ayatollah Vaez-Tabasi is not comparable with even the whole work performed over the history of Astan Quds Razavi.”
“The appointment of Hujjat al-Islam Raeisi as custodian of Astan Quds Razavi will not damage the affairs; rather we will definitely see further improvement and growth in the affairs,” Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi asserted.
“Holy Shrine of Imam Ridha is a great cultural center and attendance of 20 million pilgrims from all around the world may have tremendous impressions on the Islamic world,” said the professor of higher levels of seminary.
Referring to the seven-step charter of the Supreme Leader concerning the appointment of custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, he remarked, “Attending to Mashhad suburbs, facilitation of pilgrimage travel of low-income people by construction of inexpensive pilgrim houses, and resolving the ethical poverty beside the economic poverty are the main issues to be dealt.”
“Besides paying attention to the Islamic seminaries, the services of Astan Quds Razavi also need to be publicized largely in the websites, newspapers, and publications”, Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi reiterated.
Construction of 12 Inexpensive Pilgrim Houses
Also, the Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi wished the health and blessing for Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi and said, “Development in terms of servant, service, and the service user is one of the most important issues we have put on agenda to implement by full expertise.”
“In line with emphases of the wise leader, we are going to construct 12 inexpensive pilgrim houses for low-income people and provide for more attendance of pilgrims in the Razavi Holy Shrine”, Hujjat al-Islam Raeisi remarked.
Appreciating Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi for his persistent performing of congregational prayers and giving lectures in the Razavi Holy Shrine, he said at the end, “We hope that the servants and the pilgrims would be favored by your presence in the Holy Shrine in the current year and future years.
