Dr. Abdolmaleki:
Rasa – An expert in the resistance economy has said that Iran is facing an economic war and the only solution to the present economic situation is through the resistance economy and negotiations cannot untie the country’s knot of economic problems.
Dr. Abdulmaleki

RNA – Dr. Hojjatollah Abdolmaleki, a faculty member of the Department of Islamic Studies and Economics at Tehran’s Imam Sadiq University described the resistance economy and its causes saying: “Today, we are facing an economic war and the only solution to the present economic situation is through the resistance economy and negotiations cannot untie the country’s knot of economic problems.”

The Deputy Chairman of the Association of Teachers of the Resistance Economy explained that those who think that Iran’s economic problems can be solved through negotiations have made two big mistakes, adding: “They assume that all of the country’s economic problems have been caused by sanctions. Only 20% of our economic apparatuses have been effected by the sanctions and if they think that the sanctions will be lifted through negotiations, this is not true and will never be true.”

Dr. Abdolmaleki explained that Iran has control over its nuclear industry despite the JCPOA and added that the JCPOA is unreliable, because an important part of the sanctions have still not been lifted.

“Those who said that all the sanctions would be lifted on the day the treaty was implemented have lied,” he stressed.

He added that the Americans also say that the cancellation or suspension of sanctions at all stages is subject to the report of the IAEA. “Everyone knows that they consider Iran’s missile program as a violation of UN Resolution 2231 and because we did not allow them to inspect our facilities, they did not issue a report,” he said.

The Iranian scholar stated that the Americans are unreliable and noted that the US has made no commitment to cancel the sanctions and has only waived the sanctions for 120 to 180 days and the option for successive renewal is up to the US President and government permission.

Dr. Abdolmaleki added: “While the US government has explicitly violated the JCPOA, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, one of whom will be the next US president, have both said have said they have no faith in the JCPOA.”
