RNA - According to Iran's Quran News Agency, they had been set up after the Islamic Awakening movement that started in Tunisia in 2011.
They include Al-Zeytuna TV, Tunisna TV and Quran Radio, affiliated to Ennahda party.
Authorities say the TV and radio stations will be back on air only after they acquire needed permissions.
Officials of these stations as well as some parliamentarians and political figures have voiced protest at the move, describing it as violating freedoms guaranteed in the constitution.
In 2011, the wave of Islamic Awakening began in Tunisia and spread to a number of other Arab countries including Egypt, Yemen, and Libya.
It led to the overthrow of a number of dictatorial regimes following massive popular uprisings.
Tunisia’s dictator Zine El Abidine Ben Ali was among the tyrants ousted as a result of the 2011 uprisings. He fled to Saudi Arabia.
