RNA – According to Rasa News Iraq correspondent, Hujjat al-Islam Abdul-Mahdi al-Karbala’i, Ayatollah Sistani’s representative in the holy Iraqi city of Karbala in a meeting with delegation from the Holy Shrine of Imam Husayn who had participated in an exhibition entitled “Breeze of Karbala” in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad this past March stressed that it is necessary to interact and communicate with Wahhabis and other religious sects in order to introduce them to the truth of Shi’a Islam.

He explained that most Wahhabis and members of other religions are not familiar with the true beliefs of Shi’a Muslims and are strongly affected by the many anti-Shi’a books and sources of propaganda which are widespread in the Islamic world.

Hujjat al-Islam Karbala’i added that this propaganda is an attack against all Shi’a Muslims and are strongly against the true beliefs of our faith but nevertheless, they introduce them to the people.

Referring to inquiries about the participation of Wahhabis in the “Breeze of Karbala Week” exhibition, Ayatollah Sistani’s representative stated that special representative groups from the holy shrines in Iraq must plan to attend exhibitions in the future in order to present accurate and detailed information on Shi’ism to those who have little truthful information. At the exhibition, books on Shi’ism were presented for study.

The “Breeze of Karbala” Islamic cultural exhibition was held in collaboration with the Holy Shrine of Imam Husayn and Pakistan’s International Islamic University and was attended by over 6,000 Pakistanis.

A number of prominent religious scholars, academics and some Sunni clerics and Pakistani citizens were present at the closing ceremony.

A group of Wahhabis and followers of different religions also attended.

The exhibition was a part of a series of cultural weeks organized by the holy shrines of Imam al-Husayn, Hadhrat Abbas, Imam Musa al-Kadhem and Imam Muhammad al-Jawad in various countries as part of an effort to propagate the pure thought of the Prophet Muhammad and his Infallible Family to all corners of the globe, to spread peace and guidance and to prevent the spread of extremism which poses itself as true Islam.
