RNA – Building reportedly belonging to an Islamic Center in the Texas city of Houston destroyed by fire early Friday. According to a member of the Islamic Center, Investigators have made clear that the fire was not accidental.
The attack took place at around 5:30 am, 45 minutes before morning prayers were scheduled to begin.
No one was injured and the flames were extinguished in less than an hour.
The attack comes just days after three Muslim students were shot dead in a North Carolina university town in what the victims’ families say was a hate crime.
The Quba Islamic Institute announced on its Facebook page that the blaze was so hot that the complete building and all its many contents were destroyed. However “other buildings as part of the organization were undamaged,” he added.
