Rasa – In a meeting with Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani, the Nigerian top cleric said: “The Islamic awaking movement has been formed in Nigeria and large groups of people are being invited to Islam and awakened (in the country).”

RNA - In his journey to Iran, the Nigerian top cleric, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky met with Ayatollah Hussain Nouri Hamedani in the holy city of Qom on Saturday to discuss the recent developments in Nigeria.

In the meeting, Sheikh Zakzaky noted the continuation of the Islamic movement founded by the late Imam Khomeini in Iran and said: “Like the movement led by Imam Khomeini, we are moving toward the awakening of nations.”

The Nigerian Shia cleric stressed on the necessity of countering Islam’s enemies and added that the best element of Muslim nations’ awakening in their vigilance against plots hatched by enemies.

The Muslims in Nigeria intend to convey the message of Islamic awakening movement in the country to other Muslims nations across the world to help them defeat their enemies,” he said.

He also commented on the Islamic awakening wave in Nigeria, saying, “The Islamic awaking movement has been formed in Nigeria and large groups of people are being invited to Islam and awakened (in the country).”
