Efforts to put the Islamic history in the Britain’s educational system

Rasa News Agency Reports – An ongoing effort in Britain is trying to put the Islamic history to the history books of the Britain’s schools, to help introduce the outstanding role of the Muslims in developing science and philosophy in the history of the country.
The campaign which is supported by the Muslim Council of Britain or MCB is targeting the British students that don’t have any proper resources to know more about the real Islam and have been misunderstood the religion because of the ongoing propaganda by the western governments.
The campaign started following the publication of the draft of the “criterions of developing new history books” by Britain’s department for Education.
The draft has not mentioned the Islam’s services in the history, and that’s why the Muslims are protesting it.
The members of the campaign have demanded the teachers and the public society to ask the British government to correct it before the end of the consultations to adopt the draft next week.
The members of the campaign have also announced that a comprehensive educational plan can both integrate the Muslims students that include 10 percent of the school populations of Britain; and make them feel like thay haven’t been abandoned by the historical identity of the Britain.
Around 2.7 million Muslims live Britain and, there are about 400,000 Muslim students studying in the schools of the city.
