Rasa – The director of the Cinema Organization of Iran, Hojjatollah Ayoubi, has visited a number of scholars and sources of emulation in Qom, which home to Iran’s largest Islamic seminary.
The director of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran, Ayatollah Sayyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri the director of the Jurisprudence Centre of the Pure Imams (A), Ayatollah Mohammad-Javad Fazel-Lankarani, and a number of teachers from Qom’s Islamic Seminary were among those scholars that Mr Ayoubi met.
He gave a report on films produced over the past year in Iran during his meetings with the scholars.
During the meeting, Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri talked about the great influence that cinema has on the society and asked Mr Ayoubi to show more sensitivity to cinema.
Ayatollah Fazel-Lankarani expressed his satisfaction with the close connection between Iranian cinema and religion and said that Iranian cineastes should improve their knowledge about religious and Islamic issues.
