Hate crimes against American Muslims:
Rasa - The Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations wants the FBI to investigate a case of anti-Islam vandalism on a St. Paul driveway. Someone wrote “F--- Islam” in motor oil on a driveway in a neighborhood that's home to several Muslim families.

RNA - “Federal law enforcement authorities should assist in bringing the perpetrators of this apparent hate crime to justice,” said CAIR-MN executive director Lori Saroya.

“Minnesota's political and religious leaders have a responsibility to speak out strongly against the growing anti-Muslim sentiment in our society that can lead to this type of disturbing incident.”

The FBI told Fox 9 it is aware of the incident, which was reported on Oct. 28. CAIR-MN said they are very concerned about potential hate crimes, and much of the outrage toward this incident has come from non-Muslim residents of the neighborhood.

If the investigation turns up evidence of a hate crime, the case will be turned over to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
